Work Built to Last, with integrity and care
I've been building with wood since 2005, starting in an architectural woodturning shop in Southern Maine where precision wasn't optional. I spent the next decade moving through specialty shops, learning and mastering different methods, different standards of what "finished" actually means. Twenty years later, I pull from all of it.
THE CRAFT
I build with thoughtful joinery and design that serves how people actually live. My influences include Nakashima, Chapo, Jeanneret, Esherick, Judd, and they show up in how I approach proportion and construction, not in copying forms. You'll see mid-century restraint, Scandinavian clarity, and traditional Japanese joinery, but every piece is designed specifically for you.
THE APPROACH
I work intentionally and with skilled support.
From first conversation to final installation, you work directly with me. No large crew, no details lost in translation. This means limited availability, because each commission requires my full attention. I'm not interested in scaling production. I'm interested in building work I'm proud of that serves you well and lasts.
THE WORK
Custom tables, chairs, desks, kitchens, and architectural millwork. I'm adaptable in meeting your aesthetic and functional needs, but the through-line is always honest materials, solid construction, and designs that make sense for how you live.
I work from my studio in Kerhonkson, New York with one skilled assistant who helps execute builds under my direct guidance. This structure allows me to maintain quality and personal involvement while building sustainably.
